Website generator — run report

Ten solo practitioners. Each hands over their own words and their own photographs, and nothing else. Every generator gets the identical pack. This page is every run so far, side by side.

minispace v1 — bare — no design brief. SYSTEM.md carries format + material rules only. The design guidance is parked in .pi/SYSTEM.design.md and was NOT loaded. This run is the ablation floor.

minispace v2 — two-step — bare skeleton, page built from it. Step 1 of the two-step harness decided 2026-09-09 (docs/brief/design-skeleton.md). SKELETON.md carries the task, the material rules, the four-layer structure, the vocabulary, the conflict list, the self-check and the output template. It carries NO evidence defaults (spine, counts) and NO taste positions — the first ten plans are read bare and positions are added where they are boring or wrong. Step 2 builds the page from the skeleton: SYSTEM.md now says build the plan exactly — beats, seams, art direction, section specs, motions in CSS + vanilla JS, reduced-motion respected. Background removal is not available this round (no plan asked for it). The step-2 user message is prompt.md + skeleton.md, saved per run as prompt.step2.md.

minispace v3 — two-step — plan brief carries the theory of fit. Same two steps as v2. The plan brief (.pi/SKELETON.md) now carries the theory of fit: three signals read from the brand DNA (what they sell, their voice, their material), four directions (Calm, Editorial, Bold, Warm) with ground, type, photo, motion and seams for each, four rules that hold in every direction, and a required Why line in the art direction and in every section spec. Drafted by Claude at Andrew's request after the bare v2 round, reviewed by Andrew 2026-09-09. The page brief (.pi/SYSTEM.md) is unchanged from v2.
